We offer structured data cabling solutions using CAT 5e , CAT 6 , CAT 6e and CAT 6a. Patch panel installation, server room cable runs with cable guides , cabling runs for PoE (Power over Ethernet) devices such as wireless network access points and IP Cameras. We have cable installers in Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington, Brampton, Milton, Hamilton, Vaughn, Kitchener. We carry brands such as Panduit, Corning or Belden as well as OEM products. We will maintain existing cabling networks and can install one cabling drop to hundreds of cabling drops.
Cabling systems must be designed for present and future networking needs. Today most networks support data speeds of 1Gbps (1000 Mbps). However future networks may need speeds such as 10 GBps. Cabling solutions must be designed to protect the current investment in cabling to support future needs such as voice and video applications.
CAT5 is rarely used in new cabling installations , unless it is for maintaining existing cabling infrastructure. CAT 6 cabling is commonly used for most data and voice networks today. New CAT6a supports high data rates above 10Gbps. Depending on the application correct type of cable needs to be selected.
Fire rating is another consideration for the cable selection. Depending on the building type (Warehouse, Office, Production environment etc.) correct fire rated cable must be used. Typically fire rating is referred as FT or Plenum rating. Some jurisdictions have specified the mandatory cabling type to use in the building code for each type of building. Ontario building code “3.6.4.3. Plenum requirements" refers to the minimum plenum rating required in Ontario.
